Preparation for Study

Things to Prepare

We are dedicated to assisting you with your language study application through our Authorized Agents. It is essential for students to familiarize themselves with the overall process and create a comprehensive checklist. We highly recommend allocating sufficient time for the entire process.

1. Visit, Call, and Consult with Authorized Agents
Seeking counseling with authorized agents is a crucial step in the application process. It’s important to choose an agency that is knowledgeable about CPILS courses, services, and policies. Assess their responsiveness and willingness to accommodate your needs to ensure they can provide the necessary support for your study requirements.

2. Passport Preparation and Visa Application (if Needed)
Ensure that your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay in the Philippines. If it is not, be sure to renew it in advance. Additionally, if necessary, apply for a tourist visa that is valid for short-term study purposes.

3. Course Registration and Payment Process
To secure your slot, a registration fee of USD 125 must be paid. After completing your course application, an invoice for your selected study course will be sent to your agency within 2-3 days of the registration payment. Please note that the registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable in the event of cancellation.

4. Book Flight Ticket
When studying abroad, it’s essential to book your flight well in advance, especially during peak seasons. This ensures better availability, lower prices, and reduces stress in your travel arrangements. Additionally, please inform your agency in advance if you require airport pick-up service, as this may incur an additional fee, allowing for proper arrangements to be made.

5. Payment Confirmation
Full payment for the cost of studying at CPILS is required at least four weeks prior to your scheduled departure date. Failure to complete the payment within this timeframe may result in the cancellation of your registration.

6. Preparation for Departure
After finalizing your flight ticket, your agent will provide an orientation, including final pick-up details if needed. Prepare all necessary travel items, such as insurance, an international debit card, currency exchange, and a checklist of required documents and luggage. It is advisable to arrive at the airport at least three hours before departure. During the flight, remember to fill out the immigration forms distributed by the flight attendant.

Things to Consider When Choosing a Course
Once you have decided to study at CPILS, it’s crucial to select the right course that best aligns with your language learning goals. Carefully review the course descriptions and learning outcomes to ensure they match your preferences and schedule.

Consider the following factors:

  • Your current proficiency level
  • Your desired pace of learning
  • Class sizes of the course
  • Course duration
  • Available supplementary resources and extracurricular activities that can support your goals

Don’t hesitate to seek guidance from us or your agency to confidently choose the most suitable course for your needs.
