Upon arrival in Cebu, we ensure that new students seamlessly transition into CPILS and begin their ESL journey with the support of our accommodating staff. Our primary goal is to provide a smooth and comfortable experience for all students during this important phase.
Room Preparation
If the room is shared, the roommates are informed of the new student’s arrival. Our housekeeping team conducts thorough cleaning and disinfection, ensuring the room is prepared for the new occupant. Additionally, the engineering team checks all equipment to guarantee everything is in proper working condition. A welcome kit, including snacks and a tissue roll, is also provided to the new student.
Airport Pick-Up Preparation
For students requiring airport pick-up service, a designated staff member is assigned to welcome them. The staff will monitor the flight status closely to account for any delays or early arrivals. To ensure a smooth pickup, the staff member will arrive at the airport one hour before the scheduled arrival time.
Meet and Greet
Upon arriving in Cebu and completing the immigration process, students should proceed to the arrival gate, where our pick-up staff will be waiting with a CPILS sign or placard for easy identification. To verify their identity, students need to approach the CPILS staff and present their passport along with a copy of the school’s invitation.
IMPORTANT:
Before leaving the Immigration counter, ensure that your passport has been correctly stamped by the officer. Also, before heading to the arrival gate, double-check that you have collected all your luggage.
Arrival at CPILS
Upon arrival at CPILS, students are provided with the following:
- New Arrival Information Paper: A guide containing essential information to help new students navigate the school on their first day.
- Dormitory Room Key
- ID Pass: This must be submitted to the Security Guard when leaving the premises and retrieved upon return.
- Temporary ID Card: This card comes pre-loaded with 500, which can be used at the snack bar. Permanent ID cards and passes will be issued the following week.
Initial School Tour
Our pick-up or office staff will give new students a brief tour of the school’s essential facilities, including the guidance office, dining area, snack bar, poolside, and clinic. Additionally, students will be shown where to go for their level test on Monday.
Health Check and Declaration
New students are required to visit the clinic to meet with the nurse and provide details about their health insurance, as well as their physical and mental conditions. This includes sharing information on any pre-existing illnesses, medical treatments, allergies, and health history that the school should be aware of. This process allows the nurse to offer extra care and attention to students with existing health concerns.
Taking New Students to Their Dormitory Rooms
Our staff assists new students in settling into their dormitory rooms by providing guidance and support. They help with luggage, give a tour of the dormitory, and ensure that students are comfortable and familiar with the available facilities and amenities.
